Team and Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our team. You will collaborate closely with team members to maintain various aspects of our IT security infrastructure and provide expert advice on security matters across the organization. Your role will involve supporting IT and business units, implementing and maintaining security solutions, and ensuring compliance with our standards and best practices.
Our primary mission is to protect against cyber threats, ensuring the security of our internal systems and critical data. We safeguard the organization's digital assets by implementing and enforcing comprehensive security solutions, procedures, and technologies.
Our department is located in Lystrup, where you will also be placed.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Provide support to IT and business units on security-related issues and act as a security advisor for different areas of the organization
- Implement and maintain security solutions, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and functionality in line with the business
- Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts
- Oversee and enhance our SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solution. Ensure robust endpoint protection and manage other IT security-related solutions
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place
- Ensure compliance with our standards and best practices in projects and solutions
- Investigate and address suspicious behavior, events and incidents
- Maintain and enhance the Cyber Security Incident Response Plan (CSIRP)
- Continuously monitor and ensure the functionality and compliance of security-related systems
Qualifications
The key qualifications include:
- High level of technical skills and knowledge. Proven experience in IT security, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices
- Experience with Microsoft 365, AD, Windows and Linux OS from a security perspective is a plus
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as CIS (Center for Internet Security) or similar
Required educational background:
- 2-5 years as System Administrator / Network Engineer, or Security Engineer

- Good communication skills (internally and customer)
- Responsible and structured
- Cooperative with strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive, structured, and focused on the task at hand
- Team player with an analytic and holistic mindset
