Position Overview
The Business Line Analyst is an important member of the Business Line Leadership team, responsible for translating market research and financial insights into actionable initiatives.
The Business Line Analyst will work closely with the Business Line Manager and product managers to support data-driven decisions to enhance business performance and to meet strategic goals. This will require an understanding and ability to interpret data from a range of different sources (e.g., financial, operational, customer/transactional, market research, competitors) to create actionable insights for the team.
A key part of the role will also be to monitor and assess the commercial performance of products after launch and to support cross-functional teams in acting on insights and identified solutions or corrective actions.
What you will do
Market Research and Insights Translation
- Support advanced market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
- Analyze complex market data to provide strategic insights that inform business line strategies and initiatives.
- Translate comprehensive market and financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for the Business Line Manager and cross-functional teams.
Commercial Performance Monitoring
- Oversee the monitoring and assessment of the commercial performance of products post-launch, including pricing, sales volumes, revenue, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain advanced dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business line.
- Provide regular updates and detailed performance reports to the Business Line Manager, highlighting key trends and insights.
Pricing and Sales Analysis
- Work with the pricing and analytics team to create detailed pricing analyses to support strategic pricing decisions and optimize pricing strategies.
- Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Work with the Business Line Manager to develop sophisticated pricing models and scenarios that enhance profitability and market share.
- Work with Business Line Manager and product managers to create business cases and solution roadmaps.
Actionable Reporting
- Create and present comprehensive reports that summarize market insights, financial performance, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure that all reports are accurate, comprehensive, and tailored to the needs of various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Guide cross-functional teams in monitoring and following up on insights and identified solutions or corrective actions.
- Create a collaborative environment within cross-functional teams to improve business performance and reach strategic goals.
- Act as an advisor and subject matter expert within the Business Line Leadership team.
Support for Business Line Strategy
- Assist the Business Line Manager in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the business line.
- Provide advanced analytical support for strategic planning, including market entry strategies, product launches, and portfolio optimization.
- Participate in strategic discussions and contribute insights that support the business line’s long-term goals.
What you bring
Experience
- Up to 5 years of experience in business analysis, market research, or similar analytical roles.
- Knowledge of hearing care products or a relevant industry supports in performing well in this role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (Excel, PowerBI)
- You have good quantitative and analytical skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial performance metrics, pricing strategies, and market research methodologies.
- You can communicate and present well.
- Ability to work without close supervision and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and analytic projects.
