Your New Team
As our new Sourcing & Procurement Specialist you will be a part of European Energy UK Limited, consisting of 20+ colleagues working principally from our office in Glasgow. You will work closely with our Sourcing & Procurement team, part of European Energy’s EPC department. We work with professional suppliers, partners, and sub-contractors for the completion of our sites.

Our project pipeline in the UK is in rapid growth, and you will be hands-on in many technical, organisational, and commercial aspects with the opportunity to develop professionally and take on more responsibility over time.

Your New Role
As our new Sourcing & Procurement Specialist you will help deliver utility-scale solar (PV) projects in the UK. In due course, we also expect the delivery of energy storage, onshore wind, and Power-to-X projects to form part of the UK portfolio.

You will see yourself in an environment with many interesting tasks. You are well organized and have solid interpersonal skills to engage with local suppliers, sub-contractors and in-house departments.

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Identify prospective new suppliers and contractors to widen the pool of resources available
  • Conduct pre-qualification exercises to filter shortlists based on set quality standards and performance criteria
  • Coordinate within the EPC department to issue new invitations to tender to pre qualified suppliers and contractors
  • Generate purchase orders based on requisitions, and contracts and ensure timely issuance to vendors
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, track production and delivery schedules
  • Maintain procurement records and documentation, including contracts, agreements, and vendor information
  • During contracting stages help to compile appendices, ensure key contractual terms are applied and undertake quality reviews
  • Support the Project Manager with the application of key contractual terms, helping to resolve procurement issues or conflicts arising
  • Support the construction team with the procurement tasks required to meet Principle Contractor duties under the CDM regualtions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to optimize procurement operations and enhance efficiency.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination roles including relevant ERP software
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations and contracting forms commonly used in the industry (e.g. Fidic Silver book, NEC4, JCT)
  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • You are willing to travel to meet suppliers and contractors as required, with occasional travel to our head office in Denmark
  • You have a proactive and diligent approach
  • You can work remotely & independently and be self-motivated within a supportive & collaborative company
  • You are a creative problem solver
