About the role
Do you want to work with a modern product portfolio for the next generation of offering to our welfare industry and society? Do you have experience of leading strategic development initiatives and working in a cross-county organization? Do you have strong leadership skills and experience of leading a big development organization located in several countries?

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Development to drive our development efforts to continue to expand our business towards the Swedish and Norwegian market. Our company is growing, and now we are looking for great people to join us!

As the Head of Development, you will lead the development of our software products globally together with our teams in Sweden, Poland, Norway and India with dotted line managerial reports. The role is both strategic and operational, requiring a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen. In this position, you will be responsible for strategic planning, continuous improvement, quality assurance, and efficiency management in our product development process.

You will report to the Head of Welfare, be a member of the leadership team, and collaborate closely with Head of Operations and colleagues in the Leadership team as well as our managers, staff and people leads in different settings to ensure strategic decisions identified and executed seamlessly.

With us, you will:

• Set a strategic direction for development initiatives to align with the organization's goals.
• Lead and mentoring an international, multi-site product development organization to develop market-leading, high-quality products and solutions.
• Define a vision and strategy for software engineering methodologies, workflows, and developer experience.
• Strengthen our way of working by aligning tools, processes and our technical frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement in our DevOps practices.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and teams.
• Foster cooperation and networking within our business unit, together with other business units and with internal and external technology partners.

For this role, we appreciate if you have the following:

• Experience in building complex solutions and cloud-based systems in demanding, large-scale environments.
• Technical background with hands-on coding experience.
• Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate and manage a high-performing organization and to drive change management.
• Good communication skills, both technical and non-technical, and experience from stakeholder management and deliver material for decisions.
• English fluency, both written and oral.
