ABOUT DALBERG DATA INSIGHTS
We are seeing an increasing gap in awareness and adoption of AI in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), which can lead to long-term and irreversible digital divide between LMICs and High-Income Countries. At Dalberg Data Insights, we democratize AI access for impactful organizations by:

    • Designing AI and data strategies and solutions
    • Providing AI literacy training to our clients and partners
    • Piloting AI solutions
    • Consulting on Responsible AI practices
    • Developing & scaling advanced AI solutions, designed to transform data into actionable insights.
    • Curious, resourceful, confident under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
    • Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches or systematic thinking.
    • Self-driven, agile, and able to work independently and on multiple engagements simultaneously.
    • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and rationale to project managers or clients, and see concepts through to final design deliverables.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Understanding of the social impact sector, including the unique challenges and opportunities it presents. Familiarity with the needs and pain points of both public and private sector clients in this space.
    • Technical prowess in utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar for effective data communication.
    • Knowledge of AI technologies and their practical implementation in product development.
    • Demonstrated ability to employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to client challenges.
    • Capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
    • 0-2 years of experience working with digital solutions.
    • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and algorithms, understanding their application in decision support tools.
    • Understanding of data engineering principles for data collection, processing, and storage.
    • Proficiency in agile methodologies for iterative development and responsiveness to change.
    • Project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery.
    • Familiarity with UX/UI principles to ensure user-friendly product designs.
    • Strong presentation skills to pitch ideas, present findings, and lead internal meetings.
    • Ability to build relationships with clients, understanding and adapting to their evolving needs.
    • COMMITMENT 1: We commit to publishing internal Dalberg DEI reports annually, to hold ourselves accountable, report on progress and share lessons from our regional DEI plans.

    For example, we have built an AI platform called augment.impact, which enables us to efficiently build AI analysts and advisors (AIA), so they can easily analyze and interpret data for greater productivity and impact.

    About the Data Fellowship Program
    Dalberg Data Insights is looking for 3 Data Fellows who can join the team. As a Data Fellow, you will become an active member of a team that is working on an ongoing project and learn first-hand what it takes to build impactful data solutions. You will rotate between different Data Science and Project Management roles, thereby receiving a unique overview of how different functions operate within a successful project. The Data Fellowship program will help you to discover your strengths and use them to grow into the job that fits you best. As entrepreneurship and creativity is highly valued at DDI, we also encourage Data Fellows to drive their own initiatives related to data for development. The fellowship program is 6 months long and full-time employment will be offered to the top performers.
