The position
The Project Director is responsible for running major and high complexity projects with cross organizational assignments and deliverables important to Novo Nordisk. It will be the overall responsible for several sub tracks headed up by SPMs/PMs and for executing project strategy, organizing project teams, assigning responsibilities for SPMs/PMs and determining resource requirements. Also, it will have indirect responsibility for project members.

Your main tasks will be to:

• Facilitate the development of policies for processes in the process landscape. Define and drive implementation of key initiatives in the Integrated Quality program to the benefit of the entire Novo Nordisk, including guidance of senior management on the sequence, how we change top level processes in Novo Nordisk.
• Support, guidance & training in IQ to Process owners (PO´s) and Process QA (PQA´s), acting as mentor, coach and support to Project Managers, subject matter experts, specialists and contribute to the development of peers through knowledge sharing and co-creation.
• Create strong cooperation and synergy within the Integrated Quality Program.
• Overall responsible for driving strategic initiatives in the Integrated Quality program related to below initiatives.
• Provide clear goals and purpose for the project and the project team members so that the project secures effective use of time and resources and builds employee motivation. Create effective and transparent systems, structures and processes to drive the project so that the project secures clarity by applying the appropriate amount of planning and organization. Select and apply essential project management tools and methods.
• Support the Process Excellence strategic initiative in Integrated Quality, merger of QMS & NN cLEAN at enterprise level.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:

• MSc in Engineering, Economics or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with leadership and project management, preferable at enterprise level, ideally pharma industry or very regulated environment (aviation, food, oil & gas, etc).
• High understanding of Quality Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of the Novo Nordisk business and products.
• Strong stakeholder management experience with senior leadership.
• Proven change management experience.
• High proficiency in written and spoken English.

As a person you have the ability to work independently and initiate, drive and own initiatives as well as being a strong team player, proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
Excellent at planning, coordinating and prioritizing team & own time, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and empathetic behaviour, able to handle high complexity and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Structured, systematic and ambitious, engaged and able to drive own performance.
Curious to learn and develop oneself as well as colleagues and able to gain in depth process and product knowledge.
Flexible and service oriented, with global mindset and high cultural awareness.
Ability to understand and explain complex issues and solutions for senior management, collaborating with colleagues in an engaging and inspiring way.
Build strong relations, work cross-functionally and internationally, proactively seeking feedback on performance and tasks and searching for opportunities to learn.
Actively take responsibility for own job satisfaction incl. sustainable working habits; and reaching out to own leaders when coaching and support are needed.

About the department
In our agile program setup in Integrated Quality, you will be heading up the deliveries out of our Integrated Quality structure (IQS) team & work closely with our senior manager to set direction, create and execute the high level plan for Novo Nordisk, together with the IQS team. The IQS team is anchored in Integrated Quality and are based in Bagsværd, Denmark.
