Core Responsibilities
- Backend engineering to support the tool chain involved in building technology enabled products.
- Build upon existing systems to deliver automated pipelines that streamline development.
- Effectively collaborate with internal users and external user test groups to drive effective outcomes for the products.
- Provide input to technical discussions about building the infrastructure necessary to build a performant platform for technology development.
- Work within our AGILE environment, offering constructive feedback to processes and development plans.
- Provide quantitive data to demonstrate impact of system improvements.

Play Engineering drives technology enabled play; where LEGO play sets are combined with electronic hardware and software to build a larger than life experience. This particular role sits within the Play Technology Operations part of Play Engineering where we develop tools to accelerate other teams; develop pipelines to improve internal data quality; and create user connected backend infrastructure that drives our future products.
As part of the Play Tech Operations teams you will be a central part of the Play Engineering organisations as we drive to bring advanced technology in-house. Interacting across the LEGO development pipeline including tools supporting ideation, development and delivery of technology enabled products to our users. As part of Play Tech Operations you will have the chance to be on the cutting edge of the future for LEGO.
Do you have what it takes?
- Skilled in the Python programming language.
- Experience building backend infrastructure for client teams.
- Demonstrable ability to work on engineering projects within a team.
- Self organiser.
- Growth mindset.
Nice to have experience:
- With AWS for cloud services.
- Using GitHub for code management.
- Using Jira for task management.
