Our Software & Tools Sub-Module is responsible for building and maintaining our SW toolset. It aims to guide our digital journey within a broader department called Power System Integration in Vestas' R&D organization.
The Software & Tools team is being built to improve our SW capabilities by developing SW tools, streamlining workflows and processes, as well as to bring new SW products to life. It aids in accelerating our digital power plant solutions.
Our aim is to contribute to Vestas' vision in sustainable energy by delivering software of high quality and supporting organizational automation, digitalization, and efficiency.
In developing our SW ecosystem, we collaborate with different parts of our organization, from R&D to operations, having a global presence that supports Vestas' worldwide business.

Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and develop a new set of applications that range from desktop applications, Web APIs to simple scripts that enhance our productivity, quality and time to market
  • Contribute to decoupling our back-end and front-end solutions in our API-journey
  • Contribute to developing our SW architecture with a service-oriented approach
  • Support the deployment of an efficient IT infrastructure and SW architecture for our products
  • Software engineering activities optimizing our tools performance and availability, working with other Software and IT departments
  • Define SW development best practices and democratize them across our broader departments

Qualifications

  • B.Sc or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Professional experience within software engineering (3-5 years of working experience)- Experience using C#, .NET platform and Python
  • Experience with SQL databases and Object-relational mapping (ORM)
  • Experience with Web APIs development (ASP.NET Core / Flask)
  • Experience with WPF / MVVM pattern for .NET desktop development
  • Experience with C++, Test Driven Development, Web frontend development (HTML / CSS / Javascript / Angular / React) and Knowledge of software development tools such as Jira and Git is a plus
  • Experience with CI/CD solutions, e.g., Azure DevOps or Jenkins
