How you will make an impact
Your tasks consist of identifying, optimise and implement, profitable and functional packaging solutions for designated products. This means that you will have close contact to packaging Innovation, Product Management and specific dairies. In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will:
- Support operations and logistics by specifying, and reporting: line and transit trials for packaging when implementing new materials or investment projects.
- Ensure smooth handover of packaging projects to operations.
- Acts as packaging advisor to the business.
- Take lead of sharing best practice within cost saving initiatives on packaging.
- Take lead in coordinating Activities Cross countries on a specific packaging type and towards the supplier.
- Ensure documentation for packaging is obtained and maintained in the database.
- Reduce and manage complexity in cooperation with commercial and purchasers.
Moreover, you stay informed of the latest trends and materials.
What will make you successful
You have a background as engineer within packaging, mechanics, chemistry or equivalent. Irrespective of your background, you have ideally worked with packaging development for at least 1-3 years, and you are familiar with the special requirements for food packaging. The combination of theory and practice has given you solid knowledge of material capability and test as well as insight into the latest trends within packaging material.
You are enterprising and persistent and don’t give up until you have solved the challenge, and your innovative and technical mindset makes you the professional and well-informed colleague we are looking for. To top it off, you are able to understand our customers’ requirements and use this knowledge in the entire product development cycle. Lastly, you are known for your good cooperation skills, and you both thrive working on your own and in teams with colleagues and suppliers.
