Why this role important to us
SimCorp is enhancing its internal security and building skills within operational security. This role will support these efforts. Additionally, the role involves implementing security controls, maintaining security infrastructure, and performing first-level troubleshooting of security issues.
As a Lead IT Security Specialist, you will also participate in day-to-day server administration and join the on-call rotation, which means, you will be involved in managing the physical data centers in Denmark.
What you will be responsible for:
- Handle day-to-day IT operations and security tasks/tickets
- Continuously monitor traffic and system activities
- Regularly update and maintain security systems, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems and antivirus software
- Approach vulnerability issues and apply patches to maintain security in systems and applications
- Handle and manage our asset management process and tool
What we value
- Proficiency in using and managing security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions
- Good understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security principles
- Experience in identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents
- Skills in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine security tasks and improve efficiency
- Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation measures
- Keen ability to notice and investigate subtle anomalies or indicators of compromise
- Analytical skills to assess complex situations, determine root causes, and develop effective solutions
- Explore and bring new ideas to maintain reliability
- Be creative - introduce new thoughts and concepts
- Collaborate across boundaries and share knowledge and solve problems
- Flexibility in dealing with unexpected incidents and managing evolving security threats

- Knowledge and experience of using ITSM tools, such as Jira and Confluence
- ITIL Foundation or higher level of ITIL certification.
