Key Responsibilities
Software Development Expertise

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient software systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code using Node.js, Typescript, and other relevant technologies.
• Lead and contribute to the development of microservices and our event-driven and event-based architecture.
• Continuously refine and optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Stay on-top of industry trends, integrating new tools and methodologies as appropriate.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure system reliability.

Collaboration, Communication & Technical Leadership

• Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment across teams.
• Present technical concepts and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Advocate for a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the organization.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Drive technical decisions and ensure alignment with best practices and company objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field similar to Computer Science.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in software engineering / developer roles with a proven track record of delivering impact.
• Expertise in developing scalable applications using Node.js, Typescript, and other relevant technologies.
• Strong knowledge of microservice and event-driven architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, cloud providers (preferably GCP), and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of best practices in software development, including separation of concerns and clean code principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
• Experience with front-end technologies like React and Next.js.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps principles.
