The Job and your Responsibilities
As an expert within software asset management, you will become part of an innovative business environment strongly focusing on delivering software asset management services to our external clients – several of which are among Denmark’s biggest.
We work with a wide range of technology platforms of various complexity and size, so it is important that you are excited about being responsible for license advice on a diverse client- and license portfolio, including identifying, analyzing, and presenting conclusions and solutions to various clients and stakeholders.
You will:
- Work as a trusted advisor and SAM expert for a selection of Aeven’s clients, to whom we deliver license management services, and across the internal Aeven organization.
- Engage in both client- and Aeven internal related license activities, advising to ensure compliance and optimization of software contracts.
- Operate our SAM tools (Flexnet and SNOW) and work with various vendor portals.
- Perform reviews on the use of software licenses and generate usage (ELP) reports for clients and Aeven internally.
- Act as a SPOC in matters of compliance issues and advising on or managing, as applicable, software vendor audit processes.
- Engage in software negotiations with our Procurement department.
- Continuously attempt to optimize our processes and workflows.
You will join our Strategic Procurement team anchored with our CFO Office area. We are a highly experienced team – enjoying great respect from our many clients and stakeholders.

The position is at the Danish Headquarter in Søborg (moving to Ballerup in Q1 – 2025) – but you will engage as well with our global affiliates and our contracted clients.

Your Qualifications and Experience
You have:
- A relevant master’s degree or a commercial-technical profile combined with work experience with SAM and procurement processes, including but not limited to:
- Use of license management tools (Flexnet, SNOW, ILMT, etc.)
- Detailed knowledge of leading software vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, VMware, IBM, etc.), license products and metrics, and contract types and terms.
- Commercial understanding
- Great corporate navigation-, and negotiation- and communication skills
- Business- and IT service management understanding, preferably within the IT Service sector
- Due to Aeven’s clients a Security Clearance (NATO SECRET/SECRET UE) will be needed during on-boarding.
- You could come from various backgrounds, e.g., Economics, IT, Procurement, Software Advisory, Sales, or the like – and now through your career paths have ended up in SAM.
- We would prefer that you have worked in a similar organizational setting, with a client perspective.
- English is our corporate language, thus it is a requirement that you are fluent in both oral and written English – and preferably Danish as well.
