Core Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for driving carbon reduction initiatives within our supply chain. In line with our Supplier Sustainability Program, you will work closely with our existing supply partners, procurement, and relevant business teams on identifying and implementing tangible actions to deliver meaningful improvements. As our strategy continues to evolve, this role will grow to cover broader sustainability topics such as waste, water, and land-use.
More specifically you will:
- Lead the development and execution of sustainability strategies to reduce carbon emissions across the LEGO Group supply chain.
- As subject matter expert, collaborate with suppliers to identify abatement opportunities and develop roadmaps aligned with global sustainability standards and frameworks; explain requirements and vital actions for effective implementation and documentation of outcomes.
- Identify sustainability development needs, for supply chain partners and internal colleagues; work with capability building lead to develop and implement training resources.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technology advancements in carbon emissions and sustainability to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Engage with industry experts, NGOs, strategic suppliers, and peers to exchange knowledge and learn from the best methods.
- Develop materials and deliver presentations to audiences at all levels of the organization; organize and facilitate internal and external sustainability workshops and forums.

The Procurement Supplier Sustainability team is responsible to set strategic environmental direction toward our supply base, develop mid-and long-term roadmaps, implement and run our Supplier Sustainability Program, embed sustainability into procurement processes and enable execution of the LEGO Group Scope 3 initiatives.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in sustainability and supply chain management; experience in packaging and/or electronics industries is an advantage.
- Result focused mentality with a successful track record collaborating with suppliers and supply chain partners to advance sustainability initiatives and drive positive environmental impact.
- Demonstrated experience working in a large, global manufacturing organization with a complex and multi-tiered supply chain is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience effectively collaborating across functions and organizational levels.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive mentality for identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
- Familiarity with global sustainability certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, FSC, LEED).
- Proficient in English, written and verbal
The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
