Are you excited about acting as both a credit risk guardian and partner to the business in a global tech-driven energy trading company? Keep reading – it could be one of the best career decisions you ever make!
The job
Here’s what the job entails
In the role, your primary focus will be to assess the creditworthiness of new counterparties and review incoming business cases by setting credit limits.
Concretely, your responsibilities include:
- setting internal credit lines for new counterparties
- taking part in sending out reports that communicate exposure and allowed trading to business teams and external platforms
- following up on existing breaches of approved limits
- using our developed tools to send and receive margin calls from counterparties
- developing tools and reports to ensure best-in-class credit risk management
The team
Meet the team
As our new junior credit analyst, you will join our Credit Risk team, which is responsible for credit risk management at Danske Commodities. This primarily includes determining how much we can trade with bilateral counterparties to ultimately protect the business against financial losses due to counterparty defaults. We manage this by setting credit limits and allowed trade periods for each onboarded counterparty. Likewise, we monitor exposures and carry out daily reporting.
We are a team of four dedicated credit risk specialists with various backgrounds. We are always looking to challenge and improve our credit risk setup and procedures to ensure continuous development of our work and team. We are motivated to strike a good balance between supporting and guarding the business when assessing counterparties and cases.
You will join a Credit Risk team with decision-making power and the capability to carry out ideas and improvements within the team to ensure excellent credit risk management across the business.
