BESS Product Manager

About the Position

We are looking for a Product Manager to enhance the technical knowledge and focus on BESS technology and solutions. The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in Nordic Solar’s BESS projects from a technical and commercial point of view.

In this position, you will be situated within the Engineering Group. You will collaborate closely with our diverse Engineering Teams, as well as interface with other departments such as the BESS Project Development Team, Project Execution Team, and Strategic Procurement. Furthermore, you will also collaborate with external stakeholders such as suppliers and consultants.

You will be the primary technical expert and strategic advisor within Nordic Solar’s BESS products, technology, and design. You will also provide commercial input regarding supplier evaluations, pricing, and market trends. This is to ensure that Nordic Solar implements cutting edge cost competitive solutions and develops a competitive market position.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical expert within BESS as a product offering within Nordic Solar.
• Ensure the solutions and projects utilize the best-fit technology, suppliers, and general solutions.
• Provide expertise and guidance to the BESS Project Development Team, Engineering Groups, Project Execution Team, and Strategic Procurement.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate advancements in BESS technology and market trends to ensure that our products remain competitive and at the forefront of the industry.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and consultants to assess and select components that align with project specifications and business objectives.
• Assist Strategic Procurement in techno commercial assessments.
• Contribute to the establishment and improvement of framework agreements to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Offer technical and commercial insights to guide the development, design, and execution phases with strong recommendations, ensuring project success at every stage.

About Your:

• Minimum 5 years of experience within Energy Storage Systems or similar.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in relevant Engineering education or similar.
• Experience executing Energy Storage System projects.
• In depth knowledge of BESS technology and market.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Fully proficient in English.
• Open minded to new ideas and way of working.
• Flexible and pragmatic, as our company develops its own projects and operates in a dynamic environment that requires adaptability.
