About the role
As an experienced professional in the field of Strategy Execution (your job title will be Chief Strategy Consultant or Strategy Director depending on your qualifications and experience) in Data & Analytics (D&A) at Danske Bank, you will play a key role in driving the execution of our D&A strategy from ambitions to reality. Your expertise will guide the strategic planning and implementation process, ensuring strong governance and alignment with strategic objectives - ultimately enabling a data-driven approach to achieving commercial and operational excellence.
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for your own assignments from day one and we trust that you drive and manage tasks to deliver great results – both for yourself and through other team members. You should be a strong team player and find it refreshing to work at an executive level, but should also be ready to get hands-on and deep-dive.
The Strategy Execution team
We are responsible for driving, steering, and overseeing the strategy execution of the D&A area in Danske Bank. Partnering with key stakeholders from across the group, we ensure effective strategic and financial planning, robust governance and traction towards committed objectives and clear alignment of strategic ambitions.
We are an international team with a diverse mix of backgrounds from the banking industry, consulting and beyond.

Key responsibilities of the role
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define strategic plans, roadmaps, translating strategic ambitions into actionable plans with clear metrics and success criteria.
- Drive the adoption of data, AI analytics and data-driven decision-making across the Group.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of strategies, overcoming obstacles and responding to evolving needs.
- Oversee and govern strategic portfolio progress against key metrics and regulatory requirements and commitments, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders and adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Proactively work with and advise stakeholders on how to solve problems, roadblocks and dependencies across the portfolio.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of relevant topics and drive actions to recommend improvements and innovations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support successful strategy execution.
- Mentor team members and contribute to the development of the team.
Expected qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience (depending on seniority) in strategic planning and implementation, either from consulting or in-house strategy & transformation functions, Experience within the banking or financial services industry is beneficial.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing strategic projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive projects based on data insights.
- Solid leadership and communication skills, capable of persuading and influencing senior management and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data & analytics tools and methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
