As part of the Sound & Fitting team, you will be driving software tooling development for hearing aid fitting processes. You will join a large team of audiology and engineering specialists, working in agile teams that span multiple projects. The team drives projects that are key to Widex’s mission of delivering world-class natural sound experiences.
Your Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will:
- Develop advanced software tools using MATLAB, Python, and C++ to support our hearing aid platform
- Define, collect, and communicate requirements based on user and stakeholder needs
- Define and document the architecture of the tooling landscape within the Sound & Fitting team
- Collaborate in cross-functional development with other tooling experts, specialists, and stakeholders
- Generate ideas, explore, prototype, and evaluate new solutions and tools
- Contribute to key projects, including developing new platforms and refining existing software
What You Bring
- A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of software development experience with proficiency in MATLAB, Azure DevOps, Python, C++, and object-oriented programming
- Experience in tooling development and maintenance and familiarity with requirements management
- Experience in software architecture design
- Knowledge of agile development practices and frameworks
Experience in audio software development or creating end-user tools is a bonus, but not a must.
