About the role
The Department Risk Management Northern Europe of the DNV Business Unit Energy Systems has more than 100 employees at locations in Norway, Germany, Denmark and BeNeLux and offers a wide service portfolio along the entire Energy value chain. We want to strengthen our presence in Denmark with a group of consultants being able to work in the advisory areas of our section with the possibility of specialization for dedicated subjects and are therefore looking for a team leader to form a strong foundation for the team and develop the market together with our local market area organization and in close collaboration with the other section initiatives. .
To pursue our mission as a trusted voice in the Energy transition, we enable our clients to understand and manage their risks, especially involving the energy industry, hydrogen and offshore wind technologies.
The section Safety Risk Continental Europe portfolio covers, among others, consulting and trainings in the following service areas:
- Process Hazard Analysis and safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, FTA, ETA etc.),
- Implementation and auditing of safety management systems,
- Risk Analysis towards Functional Safety (Layer of Protection Analysis),
- Reliability and Availability analysis (FMECA & RAM),
- Quantitative Risk Assessments,
- Incident investigation.
Our client base includes the full project lifecycle from design via operations/maintenance towards decommissioning and the full energy value chain including renewables as well as traditional oil and gas companies.
The scope of responsibilities of Team Leader Risk Management Advisory Denmark consist of several interdisciplinary activities, technical challenges and good development opportunities for open and flexible engineers/consultants that like to work in a wide range of technical fields and have already deep understanding of one or more of our above mentioned service areas.
The job covers leadership of the local team as well as in-depth team-work locally in Denmark as well as across the border in co-working with our sections in Germany, BENELUX and Norway and towards our other sections in Denmark specifically
- Leadership of local team in Denmark including pursuing the hiring process in order to reach our growth ambitions in Denmark and potentially in adjacent countries including target setting, continuous management, growth plans for employees etc.
- Management of our key clients in the field of risk management advisory including interface to our market area and key account management organization to support sales initiatives including but not limited to introducing DNV to clients, define service offerings, create offers for services in our core service areas, support cross unit/cross country offers with feeding the risk management part into it, participate in negotiations etc. ,
- Full project delivery including management of consultants in the team and subcontractors within the project scope,
- Technical support in the area of new client development and during setup of proposals.
- Support translation of annual operating plan and market ambitions into national initiatives as well as regular exchange and follow up on the activities.

To be successful in this role you need to:
- Be an experienced contributor in one or several of our service areas as described above
- Be familiar with interface of our service landscape within the typical project landscape .
- Have a method-driven mindset, being able to apply different methodologies to tackle clients' challenges
- Have an inclusive attitude, inviting other consultants into projects, sharing experience and developing colleagues in order to further strengthening of the team capacity.
- Being an experienced leader who supports the development of the overall team and the individual helping every employee under the direct leadership to work towards the best of their abilities
Formal job requirements include:
- University degree in a relevant discipline (Master degree, Ph.D. or similar),
- Fluent English and Danish language skills, including technical terminology; additional languages (e.g. French, Dutch, Norwegian, Italian) will be considered a plus
- Proven, min. 4 years of work experience in the field of safety&risk management or similar, with a focus on PHA and related workshop type of experience,
- High commitment to DNV's purpose, vision and values
- Flexibility and readiness to take part in business travels and visiting clients, around 20% of work.
