The position
As Project Director, you lead a team responsible for executing finished production projects, including the establishment of production lines and facilities, as well as technology transfers at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). You will oversee a group of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, ensuring the successful execution of these initiatives.
Your role also involves supporting key project decisions by providing guidance, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and facilitating decision-making processes to achieve timely resolution of issues.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Driving the direction and progress of GCM FP Projects within the areas of assembly of combination products, packaging, spray drying, and tableting
- Managing and coaching the team, creating a culture where people are motivated to take action, feel supported, and empowered to do their best
- Driving and facilitating change in a professional and effective way, while making bold, clear, and timely choices to minimise trade-offs and complexity
- Applying GCM standard project management tools, methods and reporting, ensuring consistent application of best practices and continuous improvement
- Representing GCM management in internal and external steering group meetings, building effective partnerships both internally and externally
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:
- Hold a master’s degree in pharmacy, biology, engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field
- Demonstrate strong people leadership skills, successfully building and leading high-performance teams
- Possess extensive cross-functional project management experience in complex, highly regulated organisation
- Showcase solid communication and stakeholder management skills, coupled with a highly structured and analytic mindset
- Display excellent command of both written and spoken English
It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have experience with GMP qualification of production lines and insight in the production processes, such as spray drying, tableting, assembly and packaging of pharmaceutical products.

About the Department
Global Contract Manufacturing DP (GCM DP) is a unit in Novo Nordisk Product Supply organization and is responsible for Novo Nordisk’s operation of global manufacturing of drug products at Contract manufacturers. Our main office is in Søborg, Denmark where approximately 150 people are based. The primary role of GCM DP is to establish, monitor, support, and control the production handled by CMOs. We operate in many countries, e.g., USA, Belgium, Italy, and China.
You will lead the department GCM Projects FP in GCM DP, which are responsible for both controlling and executing the project portfolio within the finished product area.
The current office location is Søborg but we will be relocating to Taastrup in February 2025.
