YOUR TEAM
By joining our AI Fashion Planning team, you will be at the core of developing cutting-edge AI solutions that shape the future of our fashion planning processes. You'll work alongside data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product owners, focusing on creating data infrastructure that enables impactful AI projects across BESTSELLER's brands.

YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Data Engineer in our AI Fashion Planning team, your main goal will be to build, maintain, and optimize the data pipelines and platforms that are the foundation for our AI capabilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of our data operations, making sure our data products are ready for use by our AI solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product owners to ensure data quality and availability.
• Implement data transformation processes for analysis and reporting.
• Manage and optimise the Lakehouse solution.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies for efficient data operations.
• Drive best practices for data engineering, including data security and testing.

YOUR PROFILE
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in pipeline development and a deep understanding for creating scalable data infrastructures for AI and analytics. You should be skilled in building and optimizing data sets and 'big data' pipelines. We value team players who can collaborate well across disciplines and help drive our data-driven innovation at BESTSELLER. Strong communication skills are crucial to bridge the gap between data teams and business stakeholders.
Furthermore, you need the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies, such as Spark and Kafka.
• Experience with ETL tools, data modelling, and data warehousing.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake and traditional data warehouses is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and python and experience with programming languages like Scala.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform), and experience working in agile development environments.
