If so, you might be the WHS/Compliance Administrator we are looking for to join our ever-growing VIKING Australia team. This position is based in Perth, Western Australia, and the successful candidate will be reporting to the Country Director.
About the position
As the WHS/Compliance Administrator, your role is to support the service stations in maintaining all VIKING, state, and federal safety regulations and laws to ensure the workplace health and safety of our people and stations.
You will be expected to have sound knowledge of current Australian legislation and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) framework.
In cooperation with the team, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Ensuring all AU stations remain compliant with all local and federal safety laws and regulations, as well as keeping in line with VIKING standards
- Maintaining accurate record keeping using the VIKING online systems
- Driving and maintaining safety initiatives, safety awareness and refresher training
- Investigate and monitor workplace incidents, working closely with the relevant team manager, HR, Finance and the Country Director to facilitate corrective actions and any return to work arrangements
- Manage plant and equipment maintenance (Perth specific)
- Foster and maintain good working relationshiops with all service stations to support their WHS needs
- Manage QHSE performance indicators.
Your entry into the position
The ideal candidate has experience in a similar position and is a self-starter with the ability to plan and manage their time effectively. Additionally, we would prefer if you have:
- Australian recognised qualification in a related discipline or field
- Demonstrated use of Microsoft software and cloud based safety management systems
- Good communication skills
- Strong analysing and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 would be advantageous.
Some travel will be required ad hoc throughout the year to connect with our service stations based in regional Western Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland.
