NOV SPS in Brøndby, Denmark, is looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, scope, and innovation.

You will be part of the Technical Management Department consisting of a 9 experienced and very talented engineers. The primary task for the Technical Management Department is to provide technical management to NOV project portfolio. In your daily work you will work closely with the project manager, being in close dialogue with the Client and coordinating the engineering activities internally across the different engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities for the Technical Manager:
Administrative Responsibilities:

• Identify project milestones and drivers with the Project Manager.
• Plan necessary activities and resources with Team Leaders and planners.
• Motivate and involve the project team in technical discussions and meetings.
• Ensure communication flow with project teams, management, and clients.
• Maintain alignment between technical and project objectives.
• Monitor project milestones to ensure timely delivery.
• Foster collaboration across various engineering departments.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical contact for designated projects.
• Define and manage detailed scopes of work, including Variation Orders.
• Ensure consistent technical solutions across departments.
• Monitor risks related to technical and scheduling aspects.
• Communicate with clients and respond to technical queries.
• Oversee technical activities to assure cost-efficiency and quality.
• Align deliverables with client specifications and standards.
• Manage engineering, procurement, and production interfaces.
• Conduct hands-on engineering work when necessary.
• Support the Project Manager in achieving cost and time objectives.

Key Requirements:

• Offshore oil & gas experience managing complex technical projects.
• Preferably a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Offshore Engineering.
• At least 5–7 years (preferably 8+ years) of professional experience.
• Strong understanding of materials and structural engineering.
• Fluency in English; Danish proficiency is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive mindset and ability to drive activities.
• Familiarity with engineering methodologies, standards, and client specifications.
• Leadership and team motivation capabilities.
