We are seeking a dynamic leader for the role of Vice President, Cardiovascular & Emerging Therapy Areas (CETA) New Product Planning and Forecasting. The position
As the Vice President, CETA NPP & Forecasting, you will report to the Corporate Vice President, CETA Early Portfolio and Insights, managing the strategy of the broadest pipeline and portfolio overseeing three key therapy areas: MASH, Cardiovascular Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease. The role offers a significant impact on the company's strategic direction and commercial outcomes.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of all commercial deliverables for early-stage pipeline projects in accordance with the Global Project Framework. You will collaborate closely with the commercial assets lead in CETA for asset evaluations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking overall responsibility for all New Product Planning input to internal and external innovation and business development projects, including providing commercial input for all projects going to the Scientific Committee, Executive Development Committee, and Spring review.
- Owning all forecasting deliverables, including long-term forecasts, and working with the portfolio strategy, access & pricing forecasting team, commercial and the business development evaluation team.
- Effectively managing the allocated budget and related financial deliverables, ensuring all project risks are identified, flagged, and mitigated throughout the project development plan.
- Partnering with the competitive intelligence and market insight team to ensure all input to relevant projects or forecasting tasks are met.
- Managing a talented team of specialists and experts. Delivering strong leadership to develop the area with a focus on a purpose-driven culture, robust performance mindset, and an open and honest culture. This includes driving diversity, succession planning, and the development of future talents and leaders.
- Part of the Corporate Vice President Leadership team contributing to transformation and impact.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred in business or science related field.
- +10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably across the value chain i.e., early product development, forecasting, lifecycle management, commercial strategy (both short and long-term), affiliate execution including P&L understanding.
- Experience working operationally with affiliates or with business development, portfolio, pipeline and phase 3 assets.
- Experience working with R&D, marketing, pharmaceutical products, or medical devices in a large organization.
- Experience entering new therapy areas and managing alliances and partnerships.
- Strong leadership experience – delivering proven results through a high performing team.
- The ability to navigate complexity by managing multiple projects, delivering high-quality results on time, and a strong results-oriented approach.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, good communication and presentation skills.
- A strategic and analytical mindset.
- Readiness to embrace change and bring a high energy level, curiosity and ambition.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
About the Department
The Early Portfolio and Insights Area is located in Søborg, Denmark and manages the broadest and most complex pipeline in the therapy areas of MASH, Chronic Kidney Disease, and Cardiovascular Disease. The department is rapidly growing and is crucial for Novo Nordisk’s long-term sales and growth. This will entail not just managing projects but also shaping the future of healthcare.
