As Test Manager at DEIF, you will play a key role in shaping the short- and long-term strategy for software testing at DEIF to ensure that the testing solutions are best in class and continuously improved with new technologies, methods, and tools.
You will be part of the R&D Software organisation with direct report to the Vice President, Software. You will work across the entire organisation to ensure the testing processes in the whole stack. It will be your responsibility to manage the test strategy, roadmap, and activities related to quality assurance, allowing for smooth and efficient platform-based development across DEIF’s product portfolio. Therefore, one of the focus areas for you, as Test Manager, will be to ensure the right balance between automated and manual testing to maximise efficiency and value across DEIF.
The responsibilities will, among others, include:
- Define and execute DEIF’s test strategy, ensuring alignment across teams
- Coach teams to support and implement tailored test strategies that fit within the overall direction
- Ensure the right balance between automated and manual testing to maximise efficiency
- Manage the test roadmap, ensuring timely communication and status updates to relevant stakeholders
- Serve as the ambassador for software testing, fostering knowledge-sharing and cross-functional collaboration
- Drive test-related activities, including creating test plans, monitoring execution, and delivering test reports
- Participate in defect priority meetings and ensure releases are tested at the appropriate level
- Stay at the forefront of technology by participating in external seminars and building networks
- Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools and technologies (e.g., test management tools, automation frameworks) that align with the company’s needs
- Ensure that test cases (manual or automated) are executed, defects are tracked, and test results are documented correctly
- Identify risks in the testing phase (e.g., potential delays, resource shortages) and develop strategies to mitigate those risks
- Uniformise testing tools and methods
You are expected to have solid experience from a similar test-focused role, where you have gained strong technical skills in testing strategies, tools and plans. Furthermore, you are familiar with test automation tools and frameworks, e.g. Selenium, JUnit, TestNG.
You hold a master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. Alternatively, you have a background as datamatiker/Information Technologist and experience as a Test Manager. You possess strong problem-solving skills, are an excellent communicator and have strong teamwork abilities. With your proactive mindset, you seek to stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices.
