Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within VTO, you'll find our department, Blades Operational Quality, as part of Manufacturing & Supply Chain Quality.
Our department is responsible for overseeing quality performance management within blade manufacturing. This includes managing and resolving quality risks and issues, sharing lessons learned with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and enhancing operational quality competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes and tools in blade manufacturing to ensure high-quality standards
  • Oversee and optimize quality performance within blade manufacturing to maintain operational excellence
  • Address non-conformances and implement risk management strategies to reduce defects and interruptions
  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives, promote best practices, and ensure closed-loop quality feedback is integrated into the product lifecycle
  • Ensure that quality-related training programs are effective and that employees possess the necessary competencies to maintain manufacturing quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing quality within the wind, aerospace, or automotive industry
  • Good analytical skills with capability in managing quality improvement projects
  • Practical experience with quality management methodologies, tools, and processes such as APQP, VDA, Non-Conformance (NC) management, and 8D problem-solving
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Competencies

  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and guide teams toward attaining quality excellence
  • Solid understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions
  • Good collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of operational processes and quality control techniques to promote continuous improvement
  • Experience in using quality management software and tools for data analysis and decision-making

Additional information
The primary work location for this role is our office in Nakskov, Denmark.
Up to 50 days of travel per year.
