Senior Mechanical Engineer/Marine Engineer for production equipment and utilities

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who thrives on challenges within their field and shares our passion for working in Pharma and Life Science.

You will be involved in renovation/building production facilities and utilities, primarily in the Pharma and Life Science sector. The role includes various tasks like project management, specification, documentation, implementation, supervision and testing across all project phases.

The Pharma and Life Science division at Arelia consists of over 100 employees across nine departments. We have offices in Holbæk and Buddinge, where you can work from. You will join the “Process & Mechanical – Pharma” department, working alongside 19 skilled colleagues who are excited to welcome a new team member. You will have ample opportunities to contribute to shaping the department, where we strive to foster a strong team spirit amidst our busy schedules. To ensure the quality of our work, we regularly meet as a team to discuss and share knowledge. Additionally, we place a high priority on staying updated in our field through training courses, attending relevant trade shows, and participating in specific training days at Artelia.

You profile

• You have a background in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working within Pharma and Life Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a WPO or Project Manager.
• You have experience with the following documentation (PFD, P&IDs, component specifications, isometrics etc.).
• You have previous experience working with process and utility systems (CIP/SIP, nitrogen, compressed air, steam/pure steam, PW, WFI, process cooking, etc.).
• You have good understanding of GMP requirements.
• You thrive in an interdisciplinary project environment.
• You have good communication skills and can operate in both Danish and English.
• You must have a valid driver’s license.

Your main tasks

• Responsible for technical package ownership.
• Specify and design process/utility systems (pipes, components, etc.).
• Support customers in decision-making processes.
• Provide suggestions for optimizing process/utility systems.
• Manage small, medium, and large projects (drive design, planning, and implementation).
• Renovation of process/utility systems.
• Participation in and execution of FAT and SAT-test
• Update documentation (P&ID-diagrams, etc. in collaboration with your colleagues).
• Analysis of process/utility systems (line-walk, process measurements, consumption, etc.).
