Global Accounting Director - Unique Human Capital

Drive Financial Excellence in a Strategic Leadership Role
Are you ready to take on a leadership position where you can drive global financial excellence in a dynamic, PE-owned company? As Global Accounting Director at BoConcept, you will oversee and align financial operations worldwide, ensuring best-in-class accounting, compliance, and financial control.

Reporting directly to the CFO and part of the extended management team, you will oversee an accounting team comprising approximately seven employees, enhancing their expertise, ensuring continuity in operations, and driving efficiencies in financial processes. Furthermore, you will collaborate with five local finance managers (dotted reporting line) and work closely with the Business Finance team to improve financial performance and operational effectiveness.

Key Focus Areas
This role is pivotal in strengthening the financial organisation both locally and globally. Your key responsibilities include:

• Leadership & Team Development – Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering expertise and efficiency
• Financial Controlling – Strengthen financial controlling in international subsidiaries
• Transfer Pricing & Tax Optimisation – Ensure compliance and efficiency in Transfer Pricing and Tax processes
• Process Optimisation – Drive a faster, more accurate month-end closing process
• Financing Strategy – Optimise the company’s financing structure in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Auditing & Compliance – Oversee the audit process in close coordination with external auditors
• ERP & Systems Enhancement – Lead process and system improvements within ERP and consolidation systems

Your Profile
You are a structured and ambitious finance professional with a strong strategic mindset and excellent interpersonal skills. You have a keen interest in understanding the organisation and its brand, and you thrive in a leadership role where you can influence, collaborate, and build lasting internal and external relationships.

Key Qualifications:

• Degree in accounting and/or finance (e.g., Cand.merc.aud., Cand.merc.financial management, HD-R, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
• Experience in leading teams and driving process improvements
• Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders across the company
• A hands-on approach to leadership, ensuring alignment and execution of strategic financial initiatives
