In this pivotal role, you will lead and drive our compliance and risk management agenda, ensuring adherence to legal standards and internal policies. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact our organization.

As a trusted Compliance & Risk Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Chief Legal Officer, in-house Legal Counsel, and other functions within our organization and our parent company as well as external stakeholders.

Your understanding of our organizational culture and ability to align compliance and risk management strategies with our values will be crucial.

The preferred location for this position is our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. However, for the right candidate, a hybrid work model can be arranged. Please note that this role requires travel (estimated 20-25 days per year), and we are seeking candidates already based in Denmark.

Key responsibilities
Legal Compliance:

• Develop, update, and implement internal policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards including GDPR and NISII.
• Monitor compliance with laws and regulations, reporting any issues or breaches to senior management.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance employees' understanding of compliance requirements.
• Perform regular audits and inspections, preparing reports for management review.

Risk Management:

• Identify, analyze, and evaluate potential risks impacting operations, finances, or reputation through the Enterprise Risk Management Program.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including contingency plans and crisis management procedures.
• Continuously monitor the risk environment and the effectiveness of risk management strategies, adjusting as necessary.
• Prepare reports to senior management and the board on risk exposure, management strategies, and incidents.

Who are you?
You hold a relevant degree and have 5+ years of experience in legal compliance and/or risk assessments.

You possess a positive mindset, strong analytical skills, and an independent, pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Your ability to explain complex compliance and risk issues to non-specialists will be key to your success.

Additionally, you bring:

• High ethical standards to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written) for clear and effective reporting. Danish is a plus but not required.
