We offer
A very interesting role, where you will join our R&D organization and be a key contributor in shaping, orchestrating and executing strategic initiatives related to product development, acting with a large degree of ownership and flexibility.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, Group Strategy and Strategy realization colleagues, to develop and implement strategies that drive growth, foster innovation, and enhance our competitive advantage in the market.
You will be based in our Head Office in Hørsholm in a hybrid set-up and some travelling can be expected.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, VINC Strategy & Execution, you will drive the formulation, realization, and deployment of R&D strategy, creating close alignment between the VELUX Strategy and R&D efforts.
You will act as a strategy advisor to the VELUX Innovation Centre (VINC) senior leadership team. Your work will include identifying and scoping strategic initiatives, performing strategic analysis, synthesizing executive-level decision proposals, and driving execution of strategic initiatives.
Tasks will include:
- Drive the formulation and implementation of strategies across different departments, ensuring effective integration and synergy between teams.
- Analyze and evaluate internal and external factors that impact business performance from an R&D perspective
- Provide and present insights and recommendations to the SVP and executive management on strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
- Facilitate strategy planning sessions, workshops, and meetings to gather input, build consensus, and align stakeholders on strategic objectives and business critical projects
- Continuously assess the performance and impact of implemented strategies, identify areas for improvement, and recommend adjustments to optimize outcomes.
- Foster a culture of strategic thinking and innovation by creating engagement and awareness and understanding of strategic goals across the organization.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate hold a Master degree within business administration, strategy, leadership, economics, engineering, or similar combined with a few years of experience from tier 1 consulting or an in-house strategy function in another large, international company.
You know how to navigate within a global organisation with many different stakeholders and you comfortably achieve results in this type of environment. You are comfortable with a high degree of independence and find a high sense of ownership motivating. You find problem-solving energizing and enjoy working on challenges with high complexity.
You quickly connect with people at all levels of the organization and your approach entails trust and confidence. You actively propose, recommend and lead the way, but you understand that to succeed, you must be a strong listener.
Furthermore, you:
- Are a team player, excellent communicator and collaborate easily with people from different backgrounds
- Are able to synthethize and present complex business issues in a clear and concise manner and ensure that recommendations are pragmatic and implementable
- Communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.
As a person, you have a can-do attitude and you enjoy leading complex tasks and projects. You are highly driven, have high standards, and constantly and constructively challenge the status quo. You are structured, analytical, and seek to deeply understand the business you work within and you adjust your work and recommendations to be relevant for that context.
