Introduction
Aquaporin A/S is a pioneering biotechnology company at the forefront of water purification and filtration. By harnessing the natural water channels present in living organisms, Aquaporin specializes in the development of cutting-edge membrane technologies that facilitate highly efficient water treatment processes. The heart of its innovation lies at the Deep Tech Center, where research is dedicated to the advancement of the next generation of biomimetic membranes.
Objective
The objective of this internship is to assist in the development of new Aquaporin Inside® membranes (forward osmosis and/or reverse osmosis).
Main tasks
- Literature review on membrane processes: forward osmosis, reverse osmosis or membrane chemistry.
- The experimental part will be potentially focused on:
- Final data evaluation, presentation of results and writing of report.
- Production of membrane prototypes
- Evaluation of membrane performance
- Sample analysis
This internship provides students with comprehensive learning experience that blends theoretical study with practical laboratory work. Initial training will equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to work independently in the lab. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students to take charge of their learning journey and contribute significantly to scientific research.
The ideal candidate has strong interest in biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science. The passion for scientific inquiry, and a readiness to learn and explore new ideas and methods are integral part of his/her personality. Candidate works well in teams, enjoys collaborating with different departments, and has a proactive, curious mindset.
