Academy Project: Internship at QEHS department with a focus on Environmental Sustainability

Objective
This internship offers a unique opportunity for an environmental science student to contribute to our sustainability initiatives. The project focuses on waste management within our company Aquaporin A/S in Denmark.
Tasks
Chemicals
- Review our current chemical warehouse management for safety improvements in the warehouse and laboratories.
- Develop and implement a procedure for safe chemical storage and nudging strategies to keep chemical storage safety in place.
Waste
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling, and reuse in the production of biomimetic membranes.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize waste and improve overall sustainability.
- Support the development of ESG reporting metrics and documentation.
- Write a report on the findings and recommendations for implementation within the organization.
Student Opportunities
This project will provide hands-on experience within an international environment. You will work together with our experts on developing an innovative plan for improving waste categorization and handling. Additionally, you will have the chance to build a strong foundation of knowledge on the new European ESG guidelines.
Profile
You are a student with a background in environmental studies, and you may have experience in waste management. As an individual, you should be capable of working independently and taking initiative. Your proactive approach will be essential in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving the implementation of innovative waste handling strategies.
