Become our Interface & Change Control Manager in Seoul, South Korea working as a Consultant on delivering our client’s offshore wind projects.
The Role
As the Interface & Change Control Manager, you will coordinate complex project interfaces and oversee change control processes for major offshore wind projects. What You Will Do
- Interface Management: Identify and manage interfaces between all project packages (engineering, procurement, construction, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of work.
- Change Control: Establish and implement a comprehensive change control framework. Ensure every proposed change to scope, design, schedule, or budget is properly documented, reviewed, and approved by the right stakeholders. Maintain a log of all changes and their status.
- Scope Monitoring: Continuously monitor the project scope to prevent scope creep and unapproved changes. Use interface registers and requirements traceability matrices to track commitments and assess impacts of any modifications. Proactively flag deviations from the baseline and initiate corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the single point of contact for interface and change management. Coordinate with internal teams and external parties (clients, partners, certification bodies, subcontractors) to communicate interface requirements and change status. Ensure all affected parties are informed of decisions that impact them.
- Issue Resolution: Lead regular meetings to resolve interface issues or conflicts between disciplines. Work with teams to close interface gaps during design and construction. When issues or changes arise, facilitate timely solutions that keep the project aligned with objectives and contract requirements.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare periodic reports for project leadership and clients on interface status and change control. Highlight critical issues, pending decisions, and impacts on schedule or cost. Ensure all interface agreements and change approvals are well-documented for future reference.
- Best Practices: Ensure interface and change control activities follow industry best practices and standards. Promote the use of LAUTEC’s project management tools and methodologies for efficient, consistent delivery. Mentor team members in interface management and change control procedures.
