Workshop Student Intern
Crossing Borders
Crossing Borders is looking for a curricular intern to join us in our Copenhagen office to assist with our School Workshops Program, and other local projects. This will be for a 4-month period - starting at the end of August/beginning of September, 2025 for 37-hours a week.
School Workshops Program:
At Crossing Borders we give opportunities for youth to be seen, heard, and connected to the global world. One way we do this is by using non-formal education techniques to facilitate workshops that engage students from Denmark in dialogue and creating action for a more just society. We cover topics like Democracy, Anti-Discrimination, Change Making, youth leadership, Climate Change, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and more!
About you:
You are an active and engaged person with interest in social justice and your values align with that of Crossing Borders. You are currently enrolled at a university or educational institution, ideally in the humanities, education, social sciences, or a related field. Experience with non-formal or popular education is a plus, or interest in teaching. Someone who is active, social, outgoing, and feels comfortable engaging with large groups, ages 12-19. Able to travel locally and throughout Denmark.
What you will do:
- Facilitate workshops at schools
- Promote workshops to schools (newsletters, blog posts, etc.)
- Design and publish social media content on social media accounts
- Develop non-formal education curricula on social justice topics
- Research and co-write fundraising opportunities
- Help with coordination of workshop facilitator team
- Aid in the execution of CB events (e.g. Food for Thought)
- Identify and implement your own project to strengthen the School Workshops Program according to your interests
This position is unpaid and for students enrolled in an educational program
