Maritime Solution Lead
GomSpace A/S
Shape the future of maritime security from space.
At GomSpace we help our customers monitor and secure what matters — their waters, vessels, coastlines, and national interests by delivering complete satellite-based solutions. We are now looking for a Maritime Solutions Lead to join our growing Commercial team and take the lead in shaping critical maritime surveillance solutions for government, defence, and institutional customers around the world.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the interface of space technology, maritime operations, and national security needs.
Key responsibilities:
As the Solution Lead for your area, you will act as the key link between customers, business development and technical teams to focus on meeting market needs in the sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership of shaping maritime domain awareness solutions that combine satellites, RF and optical detection, data integration, and operational insight
- Engage directly with national authorities, defence organizations, and maritime operators to understand their mission needs
- Collaborate with GomSpace Solution Architects and Business Development team to define solution concepts and support key opportunities
- Contribute to proposals, workshops, and customer discussions from early engagement through to contract signature
- Stay on top of maritime security trends, threats, and technology drivers that influence MDA mission requirements
- Represent GomSpace at conferences, customer meetings, and relevant industry networks
What we’re looking for
- Market experience from the maritime domain is a must — we are seeking a person with strong knowledge within maritime domain services
- Strong understanding of how space-based technologies (AIS, RF, EO/SAR) are used to support maritime surveillance and operations
- The ability to translate mission needs into solution concepts, and to collaborate across commercial and technical teams
- Experience in pre-sales, proposal work, or solution leadership is an advantage
- Confident communicator in English, with the credibility to engage stakeholders from operators to procurement and policy
- Curious, structured, and motivated by delivering real operational value to customers
- Comfortable working in a distributed, international organization with colleagues across multiple sites and countries
- Able to work independently with strong personal motivation, manage your priorities, and drive progress even without daily on-site guidance
Why GomSpace?
You’ll join a fast-paced and ambitious team in one of Europe’s leading space companies. You’ll help shape critical solutions that support national sovereignty, maritime security, and operational awareness — while collaborating with experts across satellite platforms, advanced payloads, and mission system integration.
GomSpace operates across several locations in Europe and internationally, and many of our teams work in a hybrid virtual setup. That means you’ll need to bring strong self-drive and ownership — but in return, you’ll have the freedom to contribute from where you’re most effective and collaborate with talented colleagues across cultures and disciplines.
