Application Migration Engineer (Cloud Native Developer)

Join our Cloud Center of Excellence and help us modernize critical systems through cloud-native solutions. As an Application Migration Engineer, you’ll play a key role in transforming how we build and scale applications across our global landscape.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Direct and execute application migration projects, transforming legacy services into modern, cloud-native solutions
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and product owners to plan and deliver migration strategies
- Design and implement containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (AKS)
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform or Bicep
- Optimize applications for cost-efficiency, performance, and observability
- Conduct code and architecture reviews to ensure best practices
- Create technical documentation and handover materials
- Identify and resolve performance, availability, and scalability issues
To effectively perform in the role, we imagine that you probably come with a good portion of the following;
- Experience in cloud-native app development on Azure
- Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), CI/CD pipelines, and IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates)
- Programming/scripting in Python, Go, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Git workflows
- Experience migrating from monolith to microservices
- Understanding of security, monitoring, and observability tools (Datadog, Azure Monitor)
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in agile teams
