Software Developer – For Cutting-Edge Signal Intelligence
GomSpace A/S
Are you ready to push the boundaries of signal processing in space-based systems? Do you thrive on solving real-time challenges where performance and precision make a difference — in orbit and on the ground?
We’re looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our mission-focused engineering team. You’ll be working on advanced Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and FPGA-based systems used in satellite communication, signal detection, and direction finding.
At GomSpace, we develop and deliver technologies for next-generation satellite systems — where intelligent signal processing, robust software, and reliable hardware meet. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of space technology and be part of systems that operate far beyond Earth’s surface.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Software Developer, you’ll take part in designing and developing high-performance software and firmware for satellite-based signal intelligence applications. You’ll be working with a cross-disciplinary team and contributing to the entire signal chain — from low-level FPGA implementations to high-level control.
Your tasks will include:
- Designing and implementing software components for real-time signal processing in SDR systems
- Developing and integrating FPGA-based processing
- Implementing and optimizing algorithms for channelisation, thresholding, and signal detection
- Collaborating with hardware and RF teams to build tightly integrated systems
- Testing and validating software in both lab environments and satellite mission profiles
What We’re Looking For
At GomSpace, it’s not just your technical skills that matter — your character is just as important. We value individuals who bring a positive, proactive attitude, and can build trust across cultures.
You’re a developer with strong engineering fundamentals, and you understand the unique demands of working with systems that need to perform in remote and constrained environments — like space. You’re structured, detail-oriented, and motivated by turning complex challenges into working solutions.
Ideally, you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in SDR, FPGA development, embedded signal processing, or real-time systems
- Are experienced with FPGA and a complex SoC running embedded Linux
- Have practical knowledge of signal detection and digital filtering
- Are proficient in languages like C++, VHDL, Verilog, and Python for tooling or integration
- Enjoy working across domains, from hardware to software, and thrive in collaborative engineering teams
Why Join Us?
- Be part of missions that reach beyond Earth — working on satellite systems with real impact
- Join a team where deep technical skill and domain expertise drive decisions
- Work with cutting-edge SDR and FPGA technology tailored for space-grade performance
- Contribute to critical systems in an environment that values clarity, quality, and purpose
- Collaborate with engineers who are passionate about solving hard problems — and building systems that last
Ready to shape the next generation of satellite-based signal intelligence?
We’d love to hear from you.
