About the job
As our FPGA Developer, you’ll join our Low-Level Software department, consisting of 14 dedicated colleagues. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining FPGA firmware that powers our converter control systems and other embedded platforms. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our products, including IO modules, measurement modules, power converter controllers, and specialized RTOS-based systems. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, embedded software developers, and application specialists to deliver robust, high-performance solutions.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain FPGA firmware for power electronics and embedded systems.
• Specify and implement firmware solutions across FPGAs and microprocessors.
• Integrate FPGA designs with low-level software components such as drivers and communication protocols.
• Ensure high-quality software releases and support handover to testing and production.
• Contribute to the evolution of our embedded software platform.

Your Profile & Qualifications
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated software developer with a strong technical foundation in hardware-near software. In addition to this, you should have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in digital design and FPGA development
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA/SoC platforms and HDL firmware language
• Experience with embedded software development and programming in C/C++
• Familiarity with Mathworks suite of tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, HDL Coder
• Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have:
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443 CyberSecurity principles and the implementation of security measures.
  • Familiarity with EtherCAT, SPI, I2C, AXI, high-speed serial links
  • Familiarity in Git, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity to Agile development workflow and task tracking tools
  • Comfortable with debug and validation tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and ARM debuggers)
  • Understanding of digital control loops for power electronics
