Project Manager, Telecommunication

The Semco Maritime Technology Solutions Division is looking for a Telecom Project Manager. You will work with a strong team of experienced project managers and engineers who are all committed to delivering optimal solutions matching the needs of our offshore wind and oil & gas customers around the world.

Key responsibilities:
As a Project Manager you will have full P/L responsibility for the execution of projects. You will be responsible for completing financial scopes and projects according to schedules and to the satisfaction of customers. In addition, you will manage your team and sub-suppliers according to the managerial values of Semco Maritime.

• Follow the project process throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take full responsibility for project delivery, including schedule, budget, execution, and handover.
• Manage project P&L to maintain or improve profit margins.
• Ensure quality across all project activities and deliverables.
• Act as the main point of contact for the client, especially on timelines and financial matters.
• Oversee procurement to ensure cost control, quality, and compatibility.
• Promote and maintain good Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices.
• Provide financial updates (e.g., invoicing and payment forecasts) to Finance.
• Assign and prioritize tasks for project engineers.
• Monitor project progress and work-in-progress (WIP) status.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:
Experience with telecom projects and yard/offshore work would be an advantage.
Moreover, you are able to handle all commercial aspects when cooperating with customers. You see the big picture and address finance, HSEQ, and management and customer requests determinedly and with experience.
Effective communication skills and fluency in oral and written English are required.

Educational background and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of international experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in industrial environments, particularly in the oil and gas telecom industry, is preferred.
