Technician with electrical background
European Energy A/S
Are you interested in the green transition and would you like to work with future energy solutions on a daily basis? We guarantee an everyday life with a lot of new opportunities and versatile tasks within operation and service as a Technician for our solar parks in Latvia. We are looking for a new colleague, who will work from the Ventspils or Saldus area.
European Energy is a Danish green company in great growth. We develop, build and manage projects within solar and wind energy globally as well as Power-to-X. Our core values form the foundation of everything we do; In It Together, Trust and Courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.
Your new team
At European Energy, we work every day to accelerate the green transition by developing, constructing and operating renewable energy plants.
In Operations Execution, we are currently 12 technicians spread across Denmark, and we are responsible for the daily operation and service of our 23 solar parks and battery plants that are in positive development. As our department continues to expand geographically, we are looking for a colleague to join us in Latvia. This new team member would be responsible for overseeing our solar parks currently under construction in Ventspils and Saldus. We make sure that the parks operate optimally and we deliver figures in relation to production. We prioritise the exchange of experiences and have a monthly meeting on Teams as well as a physical meeting every quarter where we all gather and review focus areas.
We are part of a larger team, Asset Management and Operations, primarily located at the head office in Søborg, Copenhagen. The team is responsible for both the technical and commercial operation of our solar and wind farms, and we work closely together on operations and optimisation.
"The culture at European Energy is very special - we have a natural attitude to succeed. We believe in responsibility, innovation and collaboration as the driving force behind our success," says your new manager, Kristian Tilsted, Head of Operations Execution (Denmark).
Your new role
As we are very busy, we are now looking for a new colleague to join the team, who will be based in the Ventspils or Saldus area. You will be part of a small, decentralized team of technicians who have primary responsibility for the parks in Saldus and Ventspils, so there is plenty of opportunity for sparring, but there will also be a lot of independent work.
You will have great flexibility in terms of planning your working day, but you should expect that there will be some travelling around to our various sites.
Your primary tasks
- You are responsible for the service and maintenance of our solar parks
- You work with other suppliers on solutions for our facilities
- You ensure that our work in Operations Execution takes place under safe and efficient conditions
- You engage in dialogue with subcontractors and other teams in European Energy
We imagine that you have the following competencies
- You are a trained electrical professional [or electrical installation manager], utility operator, engineer or similar, preferably with a background as an electrician.
- You are responsible and solution-orientated with a focus on safety and quality
- You are used to working independently, but also have good interpersonal skills.
- You speak and write and have good technical English skills.
- You have experience using the Microsoft Office suite and IT systems in general.
- You have a valid driving licence in Latvia.
- Experience working in the field of MV (Medium Voltage) maintenance would be considered an advantage.
As a person, you are motivated to make a difference in an innovative company. You can handle multiple tasks at the same time, while being able to follow through on tasks. You are thorough in your work, and even when things are fast-paced, you keep an overview and don't compromise on your professionalism or safety.
We offer
We offer an opportunity to take on a role with great responsibility in the renewable energy industry. As part of an engaged team in a fast-growing company with colleagues from various countries and professional backgrounds, you will develop, work, and benefit from a diverse and entrepreneurial working environment, a flat company hierarchy, and short-term decision-making processes. The role is an independent role, with a lot of freedom and flexibility.
In European Energy, we value the well-being and the social environment of work. We have a defined people-development approach and a career model to develop within, and we offer relevant certifications and training for existing and future projects.
