What you’ll be doing
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Product Specialist to support the development of our new instrument line, XcytoMatic®. The ideal candidate holds an MSc or PhD in a relevant field and brings a strong background in mechatronics, electrical or IT systems engineering, along with a solid understanding of IT architecture in pharmaceutical and laboratory environments.
You will be part of the Product Management Department and act as a key link between R&D, engineering, and commercial teams, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, usability, and reliability. You will be responsible for supporting software integration, debugging, and technical documentation, while also contributing to the successful testing and launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical liaison between software development, product management, and customer support teams.
- Provide system automation-focused technical support, including debugging and troubleshooting of instrument control software and user interfaces.
- Read and interpret code and logs to assist in root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Define and execute software test procedures for new features and product releases.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including release notes, user guides, and troubleshooting protocols.
- Support product launches with a focus on software readiness, validation, and training.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to inform software improvements and product roadmap decisions.
What we’re looking for
- MSc or PhD in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, IT systems, Software), Physics, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of software development, instrument control, and data processing.
- Experience with coding/scripting (e.g., Python, C++, LabVIEW, or similar).
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical workflows and regulated lab environments is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in a cross-functional product development environment is a plus.
Furthermore, it will be an advantage if you have:
- Experience with LIMS, ELN, MES, and/or SCADA.
- Experience with lab automation, optical instruments, or embedded systems.
- Knowledge of software testing frameworks and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of best-practice guidelines (e.g., GAMP5) in automated systems.
Practical info
This position is On-Site at our HQ in Allerød, Denmark and includes occasional travel, both domestically and internationally, depending on needs.
You will refer to our Director of Product Management.
