BioMar was founded in 1962 by a group of ambitious Danish fish farmers and has since grown into a global leader in producing healthy, sustainable feed that enhances growth and wellbeing in aquaculture. From its Danish roots, BioMar has grown into an international company with more than 1,700 employees and continues to grow.
Today, BioMar operates 17 feed factories located in Norway, Chile, Denmark, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Turkey, China, Vietnam, Ecuador, Australia, and Costa Rica. Worldwide, they supply feed to around 90 countries and for more than 45 different species. The company is wholly owned by the Danish industrial group Schouw & Co., listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

A strategic leader with a passion for data
As Head of Data & BI, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing BioMar’s Data & BI capabilities. You will define and execute the Data & BI roadmap, establish governance and standards, and act as a bridge between Global IT, the business, and external stakeholders. You will ensure the organisation makes the most of its internal data, strengthen collaboration with customers through data-driven insights, and leverage opportunities from BioMar’s technological assets to create full-loop solutions from feed production to environmental impact.
Your leadership will enable reliable insights, better decision-making, and stronger alignment between technology and business needs across BioMar’s global organisation. As part of this role, you need to empower your team to take ownership of projects, reduce external dependencies, and strengthen internal capabilities to deliver high-quality, business-critical solutions.
Driving impact through insight and collarboration
The ideal candidate is a competent and visible leader capable of combining strategic vision with operational execution. You will translate complex data and technology solutions into clear, actionable insights, ensuring alignment across functions, geographies, and stakeholders. The role involves fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners, supporting BioMar’s ambition to engage customers in meaningful, data-driven dialogues and innovative solutions.
You bring solid leadership experience within Data & BI, data analytics, or strategic IT management, and have a proven track record of building roadmaps, delivering high-quality solutions, and fostering team development. You have strong analytical skills and can transform data into actionable business insights, while communicating effectively with senior management in clear business terms.
You are decisive and action-oriented, capable of prioritising, driving progress, and maintaining an overview in complex, global contexts. You balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, and you are motivated by curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement. Most importantly, you are ready to become BioMar’s profile for data, shaping the future and progress in this critical area.
