As our new Cloud Engineer, you will have a responsibility for day-to-day IT operations and handling various Tools & Technologies. You will find new ways to increase the productivity by providing effective and efficient methods in IT operations.

Allente is a Nordic TV operator, providing top quality TV services to its appr. 1.2 million customers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. The company was established in May 2020 by a merger between Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer.

Key responsibilities:

• Holistic management of Cloud services including Architecture, Security and Compliance
• Assessing current systems and processes, and developing them through improvements to each function (Cloud Architecture, Middleware Infrastructure, Application Management and Support)
• Dialog and cooperation with cross functional teams
• Ensuring availability and improving effectiveness of Business and IT Support Services

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with GCP
• Work experience with programing (Terraform, Java, Python or other)
• Very good understanding of Micro Services and application servers
• Experience in working with the CI/CD pipeline (using tools like Team City, Jenkins, Bitbucket or similar)
• Knowledge of system administration (Linux environments)
• Certifications from AWS, Azure or GCP is not a must but definitely a plus
• Willingness to provide support outside of working hours (compensated as a part of our on-call duty which has a 6-week rotation)
• Good communication Skills
• English language - written and spoken on intermediate level
