Your ‘day to day’

The overarching role and objective for Innovation & Product Development (I&PD) is to develop competitive Innovations that support sustainable and profitable growth in line with Commercial and Brand strategies, meeting Category objectives.

As a Product Portfolio Manager, within the Product Development & Incremental Innovation Team – Oral Tobacco products, a part of I&PD, you will have a central role to support the future competitiveness and success of the oral tobacco portfolio. A key responsibility in this central role will be to spearhead the innovation opportunity mapping based on consumer insights, develop compelling concepts and define competitive product portfolios together with the commercial teams.

You will also have a strong and wide visibility internally and externally, including Business Units, Product & Technology development, Operations, as well as the senior leadership team.
The role is based in Gothenburg.

More specifically, you'll

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Innovation strategy and plan that delivers on our business objectives
• Lead Innovation projects or the concept development streams of Innovation projects through the innovation stage gates, i.e. from consumer insight to launch ensuring alignment with stakeholders and proper management of risks
• Together with commercial teams, define and develop a comptitive product portfolio hierarchy
• Identify commercially strong innovation opportunities to fuel the innovation pipeline and build the brand in accordance with brand strategies and architecture
• Drive cross-functional ideation sessions by mining of consumer insights, market trends and technical possibilities
• Develop innovation concepts including claims in line with innovation and brand strategies
• Secure alignment and work closely with Business units, the Product Development teams and Operations to prepare for successful launches

Please note that this is a fixed term contract until 2026-12-31.


Who we’re looking for

• University degree or equivalent, with majors in marketing/economics/business administration
• Minimum 5 years of experience from innovation / commercialization role or brand management / marketing with focus on new product development experience, preferably FMCG and in a multinational environment
• Strong drive and excellent project management skills with confirmed ability to drive teamwork in complex, multi-functional projects and organizations
• Demonstrated strategic and analytical mindset, open and creative approach, that goes from word to deed
• Proven strong track record in conceptualize ideas to new consumer products
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English, Swedish is an advantage
