Solution Manager – Defence Integration

Now, we’re looking for a Solution Manager – Defence Integration to ensure that GomSpace’s satellite solutions seamlessly integrate into national and allied defence infrastructures.

Your Role
You’ll work at the intersection of space technology, defence operations, and mission systems, making sure our solutions become trusted elements of NATO and partner-nation architectures.

You’ll act as the bridge between our nanosatellite platforms and the operational environments used by armed forces — ensuring compatibility, interoperability, and security at every step.

You will collaborate closely with internal engineering, product, and programme teams to align design and development with defence integration needs, and you’ll engage directly with defence partners and system integrators to understand mission environments, interoperability standards, and integration pathways. You’ll also play an active role in customer proposals, workshops, and demonstrations, ensuring that defence integration is clearly articulated and embedded in GomSpace’s value proposition.

Your tasks include:

• Leading the integration strategy for GomSpace’s solutions into defence and national security architectures.
• Defining and validating technical interfaces between GomSpace systems and defence command or ISR networks.
• Ensuring compliance with interoperability and security requirements used by NATO and partner nations.
• Defining integration test and validation plans to demonstrate end-to-end data flow from satellite to operational defence networks.
• Supporting the preparation of security accreditation material for systems operating within national or NATO frameworks.

Your success in this role will be defined by how effectively you turn vision into operational capability — connecting satellite solutions to real-world defence missions.

In the initial phase, success means:

• Establishing clear integration pathways and a documented baseline architecture for GomSpace solutions in defence environments.
• Supporting the first demonstrations of GomSpace systems integrated with external command or ISR networks.
• Building internal awareness, tools, and processes that strengthen interoperability and compliance across multi-domain operations.

Over the long term, success means:

• Achieving validated interoperability with at least one NATO or national defence network or environment.
• Embedding integration processes and defence requirements into GomSpace’s product and solution design roadmaps.
• Strengthening GomSpace’s position and reputation as a trusted, secure, and mission-ready partner in multi-domain defence solutions.
  

What You Bring
You’re a systems-minded professional with a passion for connecting technology to mission impact. You thrive in complex, multidisciplinary environments where precision, security, and collaboration are key. You’re confident representing GomSpace in front of defence and industry partners, and you have the ability to communicate fluently across technical, operational, and procurement communities — ensuring clarity and trust at every level.

You likely:

• Hold an MSc or BSc in Software & Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Have 7+ years of experience in defence, aerospace, or critical infrastructure programmes involving systems integration or interoperability.
• Possess a solid understanding of defence mission systems (ISR, BMS, C2) and how space data and services fit into those architectures.
• Are skilled in documentation, validation, and demonstration of system interoperability.
• Have a strong systems engineering mindset and experience bridging complex technical and operational requirements.

The role is ideally based at our headquarters in Aalborg, Denmark, where you’ll collaborate closely with our engineering and mission teams. Luxembourg, Sweden or France can also be agreed upon. Salary and start date will be individually negotiated.
