Linux & Endpoint Administrator
MyDefence A/S
We’re looking for a Linux & Endpoint Administrator to help us keep our digital backbone secure, efficient, and resilient — from endpoints to infrastructure. You’ll take ownership of maintaining and hardening our Linux environments, driving automation, and ensuring smooth and secure operations across the company.
In short: you’ll be one of the people who make sure everything just works — safely.
About MyDefence
When we say mission-driven, we mean it.
At MyDefence, we innovate to protect those who protect us. We design and build advanced counter-drone systems and electronic defence solutions that help armed forces and security organisations stay safe and effective in the field.
We combine deep operational insight with agile tech development — and we care just as much about the people behind the technology as the technology itself. That’s how we create impact that matters.
Who’s your team
You’ll join our IT & Security team – a small but ambitious group that makes a big impact. Together, we make sure MyDefence runs smoothly and securely every single day.
Our mornings start with a quick stand-up to sync on projects, share progress, and solve challenges together. The collaboration here is close and easygoing — help and sparring are always just a tap on the shoulder (or a quick Teams ping) away.
You’ll work side by side with our Security Engineer, M365 Administrator & Team Lead, and GRC Specialist – all driven by the same mission: to enable a seamless, secure, and resilient digital environment for the whole organisation.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll get to:
- Administer and maintain Linux laptops, servers, and core applications.
- Manage endpoint security platforms and coordinate remediation.
- Implement and monitor patch management across Windows, Linux, and macOS devices.
- Use Ansible to automate configuration and endpoint hardening.
- Manage Proxmox containers and virtual machines.
- Support our R&D environment and strengthen its security posture.
- Assist with vulnerability management and remediation tracking.
- Collaborate closely with our Security Engineer and M365 Admin to align with Zero Trust (ZTNA) strategies.
- Monitor logs and alerts and act proactively when something seems off.
- Take part in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) planning to keep us prepared.
Who you are
You’re analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on reliability and security. You enjoy digging into complex issues and finding lasting solutions — and you make sure to document them so others can build on your work.
You thrive in collaboration while taking full ownership of your tasks, staying calm and structured when challenges arise. And above all, you’re curious — always eager to learn, improve, and explore new technologies.
We imagine that you:
- Have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Linux administration and endpoint management.
- Know your way around Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Have worked with EDR, patching, and hardening practices.
- Understand network fundamentals, NAC, and secure configuration management.
- Are familiar with ISO 27001 and vulnerability management workflows.
- Have experience with Ansible and Proxmox (or similar).
- Maybe even hold certifications like CompTIA Linux+ or RHCSA — or plan to get them.
What we stand for
At MyDefence, we live by a shared set of values that guide us — in how we do business and how we show up as colleagues. These values are our compass, ensuring that we move forward with courage, execution, and care.
