PharmaRelations, together with the Board of Directors, are seeking an experienced and visionary CEO to lead a rapidly growing Life Science company through its next phase of development and growth. The company is based in southern Sweden.

The company is entering into a significant expansion phase as it prepares for the commercial rollout of a pioneering product in 2026. The company focuses on developing innovative solutions that support improved outcomes for patients and healthcare providers. As it continues to scale, the organization is advancing additional products aimed at areas where enhanced tools and technologies can make a meaningful difference.
This period marks the beginning of the company’s long-term mission to bring forward impactful innovations within its field and to establish a strong commercial presence both in the Nordics and worldwide.
The Position – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The CEO will be responsible for setting strategic direction, driving business expansion and ensuring long-term sustainable performance.
The ideal candidate is a commercially focused leader who can think strategically while also actively engaging in operational and practical aspects of the business. We are looking for someone unpretentious, hands-on, and willing to do whatever it takes - whether it’s high-level strategic planning or direct involvement in day-to-day operations that come with scaling a start-up.
Equally important, the CEO should possess curiosity, ambition, positivity, and agility, combined with seriousness and integrity in building trust with partners, clients, and teams.
The primary objective for the incoming CEO is to unlock the company’s full potential and guide it through scale-up and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
The CEO will have overarching responsibility for strategy, business development, commercial success, operations, people and culture, financial leadership, external representation, and international growth. This includes:
- Lead the company with clear strategic and operational direction, taking full responsibility for budget, performance, and personnel.
- Hold full P&L accountability and represent the company in all matters before the Board.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders to support commercial success.
- Drive ongoing business development initiatives to expand the company’s market footprint and revenue opportunities.
- Work closely with the Board and shareholders to refine and implement strategic priorities.
- Engage personally in both high-level strategy and the practical, operational side of the business, ensuring a strong, hands-on leadership presence.
- Ensure the company maintains an efficient, scalable, and cost-effective organizational structure aligned with its growth trajectory.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive executive experience within the life science sector.
- Proven success in scaling businesses and commercializing products or services.
- At least 10 years of experience in sales and marketing.
- Background in general management, ideally from high-growth or entrepreneurial environments.
- Experience leading organizations with internal development, scientific, or technical capabilities.
- Strong business development experience across Nordic and European markets.
- Experience working with distributors, licensees, and strategic partners.
- Experience in start-ups or smaller companies is beneficial.
- Unpretentious, hands-on, and willing to participate in all levels of work; from strategic planning to operational execution.

- Results-driven, with strong ability to deliver and communicate outcomes.
- Demonstrates a curious, ambitious, agile and positive mindset, with professionalism, and unwavering reliability in all business relationships.
- Deep understanding of the CEO’s responsibilities in relation to the Board and corporate governance.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Education
- Relevant university degree (MSc, PhD, MBA, or equivalent qualification).
