We are seeking a Head of Performance (Display) to lead our Display, Programmatic, and Direct Media Partnerships teams, maximising growth and efficiency across all performance-driven media channels.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Agency & Media (Paid Media), you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, growth, optimisations and operational excellence of all performance media channels (Display, Programmatic, and Direct Publisher Partnerships).
You will oversee three teams across these areas, guiding their development, ensuring synergy across channels, and driving performance outcomes that align with company objectives. This is a senior role focused on strategy, innovation, and commercial impact rather than day-to-day campaign management.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the strategy for Display, Programmatic, and Direct Media Partnerships to enhance Acquisition and ROI
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of media specialists, nurturing a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability
- Manage media budgets and ensure effective distribution across platforms to achieve business KPIs and growth targets
- Provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives, along with assisting in forecasting
- Work independently with guidance from management regarding overall goals and objectives
- Identify and capitalise on emerging technologies, partners, and media opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
- Ensure all campaigns and partnerships follow best practices for brand safety, viewability, and fraud prevention
- Assess and deploy tools or platforms that enhance workflow, targeting, or optimisation capabilities
- Establish and sustain high-value relationships with media owners, DSPs, SSPs, and publishers
- Negotiate direct media deals to maximise value and performance
- Promote data-driven decision-making throughout the Performance Media function
Job requirements
Our Ideal Candidate
- Over 5 years of experience in digital media, specialising in programmatic, display, or performance marketing
- Strong understanding of the digital media landscape, covering DSPs, DMPs, ad servers, and attribution models
- Proven record of managing multi-channel, global performance campaigns at scale
- Possesses a strong analytical mindset capable of turning data into strategic insights
- A confident communicator and relationship builder, effective both internally and externally
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other performance analysis tools
Other
- An interest in sports betting would be useful
- Knowledge of ad fraud, viewability and brand safety metrics and how these are measured, managed and fit into the programmatic advertising landscape are required
- A passion for innovation combined with an entrepreneurial mindset to spot and leverage new growth opportunities
