Finance Leader Denmark - Selecta Denmark
Selecta A/S
Selecta is Europe’s leading self-serve retail partner, delivering premium coffee, snacks, beverages through smart fridges, coffee solutions and vending services. Headquartered in Switzerland and active across 16 European countries, we serve more than 10 million people daily with a strong focus on innovation and reliable, local execution. In Denmark, Selecta will grow its footprint in both private and public segments.
We’re now looking for a hands-on Finance Leader to drive financial performance and support the next stage of growth in our Danish business.
Your role
As Finance Leader for Selecta Denmark, you are the trusted financial partner to the Market Leader and the local leadership team. You will lead a small team of finance professionals and ensure strong financial governance, sharp performance insights, and healthy cash flow. You thrive in a fast-moving SME environment, while navigating the standards and rhythms of a larger international group.
This is a high-impact role for someone who likes to combine strategic thinking with sleeves-rolled-up execution.
Key responsibilities
Performance leadership & business partnering
- Act as a proactive sparring partner to the Market Leader and leadership team on business performance, profitability, pricing, and growth priorities.
- Closely monitor KPIs and trends (revenue, margin, cost to serve, route productivity, capex, working capital), turning data into clear actions.
- Monitor business performance and steer corrective measures when the business is off track.
- Lead strategic planning, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling.
Reporting & group compliance
- Own accurate and timely internal reporting to local leadership and Group.
- Ensure compliance with Group policies, Danish statutory requirements, and audit processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, automation and insight level.
Cash flow & working capital
- Maintain a tight grip on cash flow, including forecasting, liquidity planning, and follow-up on deviations.
- Lead working-capital management: AR, AP, inventory levels, capex follow-up, and payment terms.
- Partner with sales and service to improve cash conversion and reduce financial risk.
Process improvement & transformation
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies across finance and adjacent processes.
- Lead pragmatic improvements in routines, tools, and collaboration—then implement them.
- Contribute to wider business transformation initiatives in Denmark and within the Group.
Team leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a small, capable finance team.
- Create structure, clarity and a positive “we get things done” culture.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day finance operations while raising the bar on insight and performance impact.
What you bring
- Solid experience as Finance Manager/Finance Business Partner/Head of Finance (or similar) in a Danish SME, ideally within services, retail, FMCG, or similar.
- Strong track record in financial performance management, budgeting/forecasting and business partnering.
- Proven ability to manage cash flow and working capital with discipline.
- Comfortable working in an international, matrixed organization with deadlines and high expectations.
- Experience leading a small team and building a collaborative, accountable setup is preferred.
- Fluent in Danish and English.
You as a person
- You keep calm and focused under pressure, and you like a role with pace.
- You spot improvements quickly and have the drive to make them happen.
- You’re not afraid to dive into details when needed—but always with a view to the bigger picture.
- You communicate clearly, act with integrity, and build trust across the business.
Ready to lead performance with us?
If you want a finance role where your work directly improves results, where you are close to the business, and where you can both lead and do—then we’d love to hear from you.
