You will play an important role in:
- Achieving our ambitious emission and decarbonization targets by development of high impact emission reduction technologies.
- Ensuring our engines consistently feature state-of-the-art emission reduction technologies
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of turbomachinery products for different application
- Evaluating machinery and processes for performance improvement
- Supporting external suppliers of mainly turbomachinery to be approved for Everllence two-stroke marine engines
- Supporting internal colleagues with tasks mainly related to turbomachinery
- Ensuring effective communication by keeping documentation clear and up to date
What a Typical Week Might Look Like
You will meet with specialists from both your and other departments, collaborating mainly within rotating machinery and the application processes. Your expertise in performance of rotating machinery will bring improvements to our existing and new technologies related to emission reduction technology.
Your specific contribution will vary much depending on the technology in focus and stage of development. For new technology development the thermodynamic evaluations are typically on a conceptual level while the nature of work for existing technology is more into automation of calculations to avoid repetitive work. You will also create or update technical specifications to sub-suppliers and implement internal technology enhancements.
Some travel is to be expected in this role. This includes visits to component suppliers mainly in Europe and Asia, and project development activities often being validated on test bed at our licensees located in far East Asia.

Are a dedicated team player with a positive mindset and relevant skills, such as:
- Mechanical engineering or equivalent education
- Thermodynamic performance expertise within compressors, blowers and turbines
- Experience with power electronics for rotating machinery, mainly motors and VFD
- Strong technical expertise and proficient technical communication abilities
- Knowledge of internal combustion engine is considered beneficial

With you, we will be a team of 10 colleagues with at least 8 different nationalities. We have a big span in work experience and with various fields of specialization. We focus both on further development of the current solutions and innovation/research into future possibilities. Our team is responsible for NOx emission reduction technologies like SCR and EGR, but also waste heat recovery, fuel supply systems and other technologies related to the engine. All work is carried out in close collaboration with other departments within the organization.
