Legal Advisor at REACHLaw Ltd., Helsinki, Finland. REACHLaw Ltd. is a leading international company specialized in offering services related to the chemicals regulations worldwide. The majority of our customers are large chemicals manufactures around the world.

My tasks cover commercial law matters, such as:

All phases and aspects of contracting (drafting, reviewing, negotiations and template management)

Due Diligence work

All phases and aspects of compliance with relevant legislation on privacy and data protection, namely the GDPR

- Legal issues related to REACH and EU law in general, such as competition law and IP law

Support lawyer in the Legal Affairs Unit at the European Chemicals Agency (employment via Manpower) on a fixed-term contract.

My main responsibilities were concrete decision-making, legal reviews and drafting of final decisions in relation to disputes between companies under the REACH-regulation. Primarily questions related to the sharing of data, access to joint submissions and rejection of registrations. Further, I conducted legal reports on judgments from the European Court of Justice and the General Court as well as decisions from the ECHA Board of Appeal.

As Deputy and Legal Advisor, I represented Denmark in a number of the permanent rapporteur groups falling under the auspices of the Committee of Ministers. Such as the groups dealing with Programme, Administration and Budget (GR-PBA) and Democracy (GR-DEM). I conducted research for and wrote country specific reports about concrete notable developments in the Russian Federation, Poland, Turkey, Hungary and Ukraine as well as thematic reports on i.a. the overall state of affairs in the Council of Europe.

I was substantially involved in the planning and execution of the Danish Chairmanship for the Committee of Ministers running from November 2017 - May 2018. Involving assistance in relation to high-level visits, data gathering and policy proposals.
